The Lauren Project was created in memory of Lauren Moilien Johnson who passed away from carbon monoxide posining on January 5th, 2009. In honor of Lauren's commitment to social justice her family and friends created the Lauren Project, a non-profit organization that supports young adults to serve as international agents of change. In addition, the organization also parters with the American Red Cross to spread awareness about carbon monxide safety in Colorado and throughout the country.
