Hi Puktsa Fam, 

As Puksta scholars, alumni, and friends, we invite you to join us this Saturday evening for a virtual family social night! In this time of social distancing and feelings of isolation, this is a chance for us to connect with each other. 

Drop by to say hi, drop links to resources in the chatbox, share what’s bringing you joy or relief at this time, open up about needs or concerns, or just log in to see some friendly faces. We'll be organizing breakout groups to play games and engage in smaller discussions. NiChel will also be leading a brief guided meditation to help us practice staying grounded and CU Puksta Coordinator, Allie, will be offering a few stretches we can follow to be kind to ourselves during this chaotic time. Bring your snacks or dinner, pour a comforting cup of tea, or invite your family and pets to join in the fun!

We plan to host this event every other week, so don't worry if you are unable to attend this one! 

If you haven’t used Zoom before, take 5-10 minutes to download the mobile app or browser plugin. We encourage you to join via video if possible.

We will be using Zoom, if you have not used zoom before please create your free account here https://zoom.us/signup

When you register, let us know what your game preference is that you would like to participate in. If you have a great idea for a different kind of game let us know! We will pair everyone up accordingly and play a game for about 30 min.

When you choose your game it may require an app for you to download on your phone prior.

If Pictionary is your game of choice make sure you know how to use the whiteboard feature in zoom (To use Zoom's whiteboard, you'll want to click the share screen button located in your meeting toolbar, select the whiteboard, and click share. You should then see annotation tools that will let you use your mouse to draw as you would for Pictionary. You can take turns sharing the screen's whiteboard depending on who's turn it is, and you can put some in charge of keeping time for the person who is drawing.)
