Reinventing Civic Engagement for the Next Generation of Leaders

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we live, study and work, income inequalities and shifting employment opportunities coupled with the introduction of new technologies had already started to lead to changes in how the next generation votes, volunteers, and advocates for social change.

On Friday, October 9, 2020 at 4:30PM ET, join Chelsea Clinton, Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation, for a moderated discussion with alumni of the Up to Us program, about the important role that young people can play in reinventing civic engagement, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Panelists include:

  • Anne Green, Undergraduate Coordinator at the Center for Civic Justice, Stony Brook University
  • George Batah, Schwarzman Scholar and Co-Founder of Syrian Youth Empowerment
  • Zaynab Abdi, Immigrant and Refugee Youth Ambassador at Green Card Voices
